Telstar Cable Ltd. Bloody Idiots

So the geniuses over at Telstar updated their billing system today, April 29, 2008 and apparently disconnected all their customers. When I passed by their offices this morning at 10am their was a mad rush of people at their office Located on Constant Spring Road, which had traffic backed up for most of the day.

At around 3pm I went to their office to see if I could get my account sorted out, but for the first time, since having and account with Telstar I have never seen so many people at their office. The Security guard who normally looks bored on average days seemed bewildered, directing people and answering random questions.

To rectify the problem it seems that Telstar required customers to pay their bills, but Telstar Being Telstar had what looked like two cashiers, so you know that line barely moved. After seeing the madness, I didn’t even bother hand around; I went back to my car, parked a good little distance away in front of someones house, and went home.

Once home I disconnected my cable box and plugged the line straight in the tv. So I got a few channels, plus anything I want I will Download.

So I am reading the New York Times this morning, and I see a link to a new gmail feature. Send emails with custom timestamp. for those who dont know a timestamp is the date and time an email was sent. No on face value I think its genius, now I dont have to lie about sending an email, I can just manipulate custom time to show a time i want.

I am reading the page, that looks similar to one of their standard announcements but the further I read the more it dawns on me that today is April Fools, and google might actually be pulling my leg. in their how does it work section they have

Gmail utilizes an e-flux capacitor to resolve issues of causality (see Grandfather Paradox).

and some crazy equation as to why users only get 10 emails with custom time stamps.

But well done google team, for a second you had me going, this is much smarter than the internet through the sewage pipes via toilet idea from last year.

Wow didn’t see that one coming, Entertainment System was seen as the only cable operator with the infrastructure to really compete with Flow on a realistic level and to learn they have sold out is kinda disturbing.

I had no real problem with Flow acquiring the smaller cable tv operators as they had no real structure that could compete with the first world network and service being rolled out by Flow, when I saw the smaller operators being gobbled up I was indifferent to the whole process.

Many said competition will suffer with the smaller operators out of the picture and Flow will have their way to set prices the way they want. But I always maintained that with entertainment systems positioned the way the are in the market, their will be at least one strong competitor to Flows market dominance. So when the reality of the matter set in I now think we are skrewd, Yea I got Flow Intarweb and CW will be thier to oppose them on that front, but cable tv service will be a different battle ground.

I only hope the Broadcasting commission has something up their selves to look out for the poor consumer, because we are running out of options.

I am one happy schmuck, seeing the New York Football Giants Defeat those ~~dirty~~ New England Patriots (17-14) has my heart pounding out of my chest. The last drive for the Giants with Eli leading the charge was nerve wrecking. At one point I had to switch the channel after I feared they would not be able to move the chains. But low and behold after switching back and seeing the offense still on the field, filled my stomach with butterflies.

Third and long Eli under pressure, manages to avoid a sack and throw a pass that was brilliantly caught for a first down by Tyree, keeping the drive going. Only to be eclipsed by the winning touch down pass to Plexico. I was jumping up and down like a school girl who just saw Justin Timberlake.

With the lead in hand, Tom Brady and his Patriots step on with 50 seconds left and I am going through finger nails at a ridiculous pace. Because if any one can come back its those bastards but tonight the football gods came through for us supporting the Giants, there was no help from the officials making calls that go the Patriots way, Randy Moss must not have sacrificed his lamb before the game because he had no super catches this time around. And after trying to throw deep 4 times it was the Giants time to celebrate. Super Bowl XLII Champions at last.

So I switch over to ESPN and the announcers are all in a gloomy mood, as if there was a death in the studio. Could the shock of a NY Giants win over the 18-0 Patriots be that great that they cant even report on the game without that sad look on their face, kinda bumed me out for a while but then I relized they are just haters, and cant wait to see the highlight reel of this game no matter how sad the present it.

As for the Patriots 18-0 means nothing without a SuperBowl ring. Muahahaahahah

RECAP: Early 2007 lightning took out ma adsl modem and wireless router, called up the bitches at C&W dem talking bout warranty up and I need to shell out over $6000 for a new one. Told them to fuck off not my fault it burn up and dem must cut of di adsl, bastered still billed me for 2 months after till my threats of burning down dem office got through. Ironically I later found a adsl router that was at my house during the whole ordeal, but pride had already kicked in and I vowed my next internet provider would be flow.

Fast forward Jan 2008, the flow bums finally done wire up ma street so I give em a call expecting them to seh 2-3 weeks for install, but they came in 3 days, kinda cool. So now I am connected to the intarweb once again. Can finally post the mad things that cross ma brain before the side of me that isn’t insane filters it out.

I only took the internet, tv packages a bit to expensive for me, being a TV freak and all I would want all channels. If the prices drop on tv stuff I may go for it till then I suffer with the evil I know telstar.

I was reasoning with a breadrin a while back, and out of the blue he reminded me of a movie that you would have to be crazy to enjoy. Seeing how I am crazy, you know I enjoyed this one, especially since I too had an obsession with Betty (the name). Those who know me know I name every thing I own Betty, My jansport in high school, my car and my PC are just a few of the things I have named Betty over the years. Finding this clip brought back some good old memories.

For a long time I have been telling friends I am gonna make a post about this serious topic, after seeing first hand what this debilitating disease can do to someone. The subject a relatively sane young man who after returning from a trip overseas was seen moping around listening love songs from past decades. When asked the only response I got was a girl, after seeing Boondocks s02e02 I quickly realized his official symptoms after some research found this nice definition online.

Chronic Bitch Dependency (n.)
A disease that leaves a person addicted and dependent to a bitch. If that bitch decides to leave him/her, that person becomes an emotional train wreck and does nothing but lay around and mope. In worst cases, that said person would think he/she is in an R&B music video- something worse than self-mutilation.

The only cure for Chronic Bitch Dependency is learning how to control the bitch and make her behave- hit the bitch if she doesn’t do what you say until you achieved desired results.

APNS: “Uh, Mr. Dubuois my name is A Pimp Named Slickback and this, sir, is an intervention.”

Tom: “An intervention?”

APNS: “Your friends have reason to believe that you are suffering from Chronic Bitch Dependency, Mr. Dubuois. May I call you Tom?”

Last post was October 31, 2007 today is January 4, 2008 dang.

Because I didn’t post yall must think I am no longer crazy, but that aint it. Crazy is still ma middle name, maybe just too crazy to write. I had the trifecta with this one, didnt memba ma blog password, blog email password and server password. So after a bunch of password resets, deleting blog spam (which are more evil than email spam) and updating the old wordpress engine, I once again am back.

Its a new year, to that I say fuck the new year. I hate people who see me and go into this happy new year bullshit. whats so happy about it, I will spoil the first two cheques I write, because the hands are stuck in 07 mode. Silly people will ask me: what about resolutions? fuck resolutions, they make no bloody sense, cracker people saying I am gonna loose weight: no your not you fat fuck, they say I am gonna earn more money: sure you will and I will go to space, (jokes I say that one all the time). All in all resolutions are just full of crap, all i say is u go out and handle your business and live ur damn life, if u happen to loose some weight good for you, if you make some extra funds just wait for that emergency to come fuck it all away.

For me I am still lost like a prostitute who’s pimp dropped dead. Don’t know what I wanna do, application programming got me no where in 07, so I aint so sure about dat. Web programming is slow, but is offering me the best source of light in this dark tunnel. The computer selling bizness still there but not how I want it, need to secure more sales and shit, need to update ma website/storefront, too lazy to even get that done.

I think thats it for me. the fucking writers strike is limiting ma tv watching, hope those fuckers sort that out soon. Other than that 2008 is just eH!!.
